What is Hastelloy?

Hastelloy alloys are mainly divided into two categories: nickel-chromium alloys and nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys, including multiple grades, such as Hastelloy B-2, Hastelloy B-3, Hastelloy C-4, Hastelloy C-22, Hastelloy C-276, Hastelloy C-2000, Hastelloy G-30, Hastelloy G-35, etc. Each grade has its specific chemical composition and mechanical properties, suitable for different industrial environments.

Characteristics of Hastelloy alloys:

Corrosion resistance: Hastelloy alloys have high resistance to a variety of corrosive media, including acids, alkalis, salts and oxidants. This makes them very useful in fields such as chemical industry, marine engineering and pollution control.

High temperature strength: It can still maintain good mechanical properties at high temperatures and is suitable for parts that work in high temperature environments for a long time.

Oxidation resistance: It can form a stable oxide film at high temperatures to protect the material from further oxidation.

Crack resistance: It has good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and intergranular corrosion, suitable for chemical processing and marine engineering.
